Join, repair & extend multiple Starlink cables for IP68 protection both indoors & outdoors
The Spacetek Starlink cable socket & joiner (Gen 3, RJ45 or DC) provides a sealed connection point for outdoor and mobile Starlink installations. When installed with the supplied external cable gland, the socket upgrades the connection point to IP68, exceeding the native IP67 rating of the Starlink cables and improves resistance to water and dust ingress.
This component is designed for multi purpose use. It can be mounted through panels or enclosures as a fixed bulkhead cable entry, or used inline as a sealed joiner to extend Starlink cabling.
This socket is fully compatible with the Starlink cable glands (Gen 3 & DC), delivering a secure, watertight electrical interface without additional sealing methods.
💡 Note : The difference between the Gen 3 and (Gen 2 - Universal) socket is the in-built recess/provision for the Gen 3 (and DC) cable gland. A standard universal RJ45 cable has a clip that needs to be pressed to be released and the cable sits flush with the end of the joiner (see photos below). All these sockets have a external weather protection housing in addition to the Starlink glands.
Key Features
✅ IP68 Waterproof Protection (with gland) - Increases the Starlink cable connection from IP67 to IP68 when the supplied cable gland is installed.
✅ Bulkhead or Inline Joiner Use - Can be panel-mounted as a fixed cable entry point or used as a sealed joiner for cable extensions.
✅ Starlink Compatibility - Designed specifically for the Starlink waterproof plug glands for a secure, sealed connection.
✅ Impact-Resistant Housing - Manufactured from weather-stable, impact-rated polymer suitable for outdoor and mobile environments.
✅ Reliable Power Continuity - Maintains stable connectivity to reduce dropouts caused by moisture or contamination.
Installation Overview
-
Drill or prepare the panel cut-out to suit the bulkhead socket body.
-
Insert the socket through the panel or enclosure wall.
-
Fit and tighten the retaining nut to secure the socket in place.
-
Route the Starlink cable through the supplied cable gland.
-
Tighten the gland to achieve the IP68 seal.
-
Connect the Starlink cable plug and verify a secure fit.
Important Notes
⚠️ Ensure cable routing avoids sharp edges, heat sources, and excessive bend radius.
⚠️ Always tighten the cable gland fully to achieve the IP68 rating.
⚠️ Spacetek is not liable for damage caused by improper electrical installation or non-compliant routing.
⚠️ Verify compatibility before installation.
